Privacy Policy
In short
Your documents never reach us. Every tool on Anyday Web Tools runs inside your own browser, so the files you open are not uploaded, not stored and not transmitted to us or to anyone else. That is a property of how the software works, not a promise about how we behave.
We set no advertising or analytics cookies. The only data that exists is what any web server necessarily sees when your browser requests a page.
1. Who we are
This policy explains how Preetham (“we”, “us”) handles personal information in connection with the Anyday Web Tools website and its tools (the “Service”). For the purposes of the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation we are the controller of the limited personal data described below. For the purposes of India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 we are the Data Fiduciary.

2. Your documents are never uploaded
When you open a PDF or an image with any tool on this site, that file is read directly into your browser and processed there using your own device’s memory and processor. No copy is sent to us.
We therefore cannot read, store, share, sell, back up or recover your documents, and we cannot produce them in response to a request from anybody else. There is nothing on our side to produce.
You can verify this rather than trust it: open your browser’s developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and use any tool. No request carrying your file will appear. Closing or reloading the page discards the file from memory. Anything you download is saved by your browser to your own device, under your control.
3. Information we process when you visit
Delivering a web page necessarily reveals technical information to the server. Our hosting provider processes the following to serve the site and protect it from abuse:
- Your IP address
- Date and time of the request
- The page or file requested
- Browser type and version, and operating system
- The referring page, where your browser sends one
This is standard server log data. It is not linked to an account, because there are no accounts, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Anyday Web Tools currently sets no cookies. As the site is configured today it uses no tracking pixels, no fingerprinting, no advertising identifiers and no third-party analytics, so there is nothing to consent to and no consent banner.
If that changes — for example if advertising is introduced to fund the site — this policy will say so before it takes effect, and anything requiring your consent will not be set until you have given it.
5. Legal bases for processing
Where the UK or EU GDPR applies, we rely on the following bases:
- Legitimate interests — for server logs, to deliver the site securely and prevent abuse. Our interest in operating a functioning website is balanced against the limited and non-intrusive nature of that data.
6. International transfers
Our hosting providers operate globally, so the limited data described above may be processed in countries other than your own. Where such a transfer leaves the UK, the EEA or another region with transfer restrictions, it is made under an approved safeguard — an adequacy decision, or standard contractual clauses.
Your documents are never transferred anywhere, because they are never collected.
7. Retention
Server logs are retained by our hosting provider for a limited period under their own schedule and are then deleted. We retain no documents at all, so there is no document retention period to state.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, to receive a copy in a portable form, and to withdraw consent you have given.
In practice we hold very little that could identify you: no account, no documents, and no profile built by us. Requests can be sent to the contact address below and we will respond within the period required by applicable law.
UK and EEA. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.
India. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may seek access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data, nominate another person to exercise your rights, and raise a grievance with us using the contact address below. If unsatisfied, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
California. You have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information for money. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
9. Children
The Service is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age at which consent may be given in their country — 13 in most places, and up to 16 in parts of the EEA. Since the Service requires no account and collects no documents, there is no children’s data for us to hold. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will act on it.
10. Security
The site is served over HTTPS and sets security headers restricting how it may be embedded and what it may load. The strongest protection is structural rather than procedural: your documents are never transmitted, so they cannot be intercepted in transit to us, or exposed by a breach of our systems.
11. Automated decision-making
We carry out no automated decision-making producing legal or similarly significant effects concerning you.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change how the Service handles data — for example by introducing accounts, or a feature that must process a document on a server — we will update this policy and change the date at the top before that change takes effect. Material changes will be described plainly rather than buried.
